God! That is so sad! I had no idea supplements are so easy to whisk together without any regulation. How pathetic....and how potentially dangerous too.
Okay Carrie, for us lay-persons, what is the difference between a protein powder (such as yours) and say a "Muscle Milk"? I'm sure they don't compare but I wouldn't know how they differ.
Craziness! I thing that I'll stick to chicken and broccoli! It's safer!
Here is the short answer (I hope it's short) I decided to have my own protein powder made because of the deception in the supplement world. I wanted to have a protein supplement that I knew was nutritionally sound. I also wanted that piece of mind knowing that what was in the bottle was actually listed on the label!!
I decided that the only way to get what I wanted was to do it myself. I out together a formula-contacted a lab we worked together and ta-da....my protein formula was formulated!
If anyone would like a sample of my protein-I will gladly give you some!
Taking a protein supplement is just adding to your portfolio of healthy food. It is not a meal replacement. Most people usually don't eat enough or eat enough of the right food-therefore a protein supplement is a great add on!!
ok-sorry-not a short post-I get fired up about this stuff!!
Any questions.....ask away!!!
Hope this helps a bit.....
and yes Amy - broccoli and chicken are super fantastic!!!
Okay I can see that you are definitely passionate about this topic.
Your protein powder has been great for me. With all the traveling I do it's sometimes hard to get the proper amounts of protein. I just through it in a 'zip-bag' and add it to whatever… water, low-fat milk, oatmeal, fruit (blended with ice)…. It tastes great - smooth and chocolaty!
Hey ladies and Carlton (If your on)just thought I would add my two cents. I think Carries protein blend is terrific! I drink at least one everyday. Looking forward to hill week...truth be told I'm a little scared.
It's now 5 o'clock! Do you know what that means? It means that work is officially over and there are just 105 minutes until boot camp!! I'm soooo excited! Took my whey protein, had a 20 min nap, and I'm ready to go!
I'm a little afraid of hill week too Hurricane! We Can Do It!! Yes, We Can!!
